Book Themed Shaker Card feat. Clearly Besotted an Open Book

Today I have two cards to show to you!

I’ve used the, oh so cute, Clearly Besotted An Open Book stamp set and alternated the images a bit. The critter and the open book are actually two separate stamps, but I put them together using the masking technique and cut them out by hand.

On the base panel I’ve used the Basic Text, also from Clealry Besotted. I stamped this on colored cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

When I finished the cards I discovered that I forgot to add a sentiment..(that never happens uhum..). My trusty old Stazon came to the rescue (again) and I stamped the sentiment on the acetate shaker window.

I hope this inspires you to alter your stamps, using the masking technique. It’s a fun way to create a large focal point for your card.
