Simple Christmas Card feat. Doodlebug Design Visions of Sugarplums

Hi there!

How are you doing? So nice to see you back again and I hope to give you some inspiration today :D

Today’s card is a really simple card. I wanted to make something but not wanted to go all out, so I challenged myself to keep my supplies limited. For the base I’ve used the Combo Rectangles from Mama Elephant. I've cut them out of Bristol Smooth cardstock and when you cut them out you will get 2 bases. One with the scalloped edges and onw basic rectangle. You can layer the two scalloped bases so that they make a continuous scalloped border. One base I kept white and for the other one I colored the edges with a red Copic marker. I went over it with clear embossing powder and heat embossed it for some extra shine. I did the same with the Merry sentiment, only I’ve also added some glitter with the NUVO Aqua Shimmer Glitter Brush Tip pen before I covered the sentiment with clear ink and clear embossing powder.

For the coloring of the Gingerbread house I also kept it really simple. I hardly did any shading and only used just a few colors. To give the card some extra texture, I’ve embellished the house with red enamel dot stickers and made some white dots using a white gel pen.

I would love to know in the comments below, what you think of this card, and if you ever challenge yourself with anyhting? I will see you next time and have a happy day!
