Slimline Shaker Card feat. Lawn Fawn Hive Five Kit

Hi there,

Today I'm back with a very special card because I've used the new Lawn Fawn Hive Five Kit for the first time! It's the first kit that Lawn Fawn has released, and I hope it's not the last one!

For the background I’ve used the Lawn Fawn Honeycomb stencil that was included in the kit, but of course you can use any hexagon shaped stencil. You can also easily make your own stencil if you already have a hexgagon shaped die or punch.

With a few Distress Oxide inks and my favorite blending brushes I let the pattern fade out as I’m going towards to the center of my white panel.

To make intercate shaker frames like these small hexagons, I always use the 3D Creative Foam Sheets from Scrapbook Adhesives. These sheets are very firm and that’s extactly what you need when you need to fill small wells like these.

To create the basic layer and the top layer of the hexagon shakers, I just traced the hexagon die on some masking paper and I placed this template on white cardstock and acetate and cut it out.

With the We R Memory Makers 1-2-3 Punchboard and some cute stamps from Mama Elephant I also made a matching envelope and postage stamp.
