Get Well Card feat. Lawn Fawn Darling Daffodils
Hi there!
I am glad to be back with a new card in... SPRING theme! I am so looking forward to this new season!
I've made a get well card and I thought it would be so much fun to send out a bunch of daffodils to lift the recipient up.
The beautiful daffodils are from the Darling Daffodils die set, from the latest Lawn Fawn 2023 Spring Release. In this set, you will receive different types of petals to create various kinds of daffodils. I’ve used the Mama Elephant Gift Pocket Tag die as a base for the flowers to sit in. Because the daffodils are almost white and I also wanted to keep the background really light, I’ve created a bit of texture behind the daffodils. For that, I’ve used the Lawn Fawn Unicorn Sparkle embossing powder, together with the My Favorite Things Romantic Script Background stamp.
To add some extra glitter and shine I’ve cut out a ring that’s included in the Gift Pocket Tag die out of some Lawn Fawn Gold Sparkle Cardstock and used the Lawn Fawn Big Scripty Sentiment Hot Foil Plates with a gold foil, for the sentiment.
I love to know what you think of this card and if you have any questions, please leave them in de comment section below!
Tools that made it easier:
MISTI stamping tool: I’ve used this for stamping out the 6x6” background stamp. If you use rubber stamps, don’t forget to remove the stamping mat inside!
Finger Daubers: These daubers are perfect if you want to ink up small pieces, like the stems and the peddels from the daffodils.
Dropper: To have more control in adding water to my watercolor paint or ink, I always use this dropper. It’s always filled up and in my desk drawer!
Art Glitter Clear Glue with Ultrafine Metal Tip: This glue is new to me and I just discovered that I am very late in the game! With this glue I coudl easily add the hear droplets on to the glitter embossed background.
Reverse Tweezers: I use this tool with all my cards.
They have a really sharp tip so it’s eazy to pick up
small pieces, but in this case because the tip has a reversed hold, they were also perfect to
hold all of the small paper pieces together after gluing them
together.
